The Orchard Garden hotel is located very conveniently to Union Square, the Financial District and Chinatown at 466 Bush Street. The hotel is the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) hotel in California and focuses on environmental sustainability throughout the hotel’s operations.  Each room offers great services and amenities including high-speed internet, deluxe bathrobes, and nightly turndown service.  The hotel offers awesome meals and cocktails at their locally sourced restaurant, Roots.  You can relax at a roof top garden and some rooms include a private terrace.  Environmental features include:

Orchard Hotel San Francisco

The Orchard Hotel is located two Blocks from Union Square at 665 Bush Street and also very close to the Powell Street cable car line.   This upscale boutique property with 104 rooms presents a traditional style of architecture with a series of arched openings, vaulted ceilings, and stone flooring.  The guest rooms feature complimentary wired and wireless internet connectivity, Egyptian cotton towels, feather down pillows, DVD/CD player surround-sound system, laptop safes, bathrobes, and turndown service. The Orchard Hotel was built in 2000 and was awarded environmental LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.  The hotel restaurant, Daffodil, offers meals from breakfast to cocktails.  Environmental features include:

The Orchard Hotels cater mostly to a corporate clientele, but the staff is surprisingly friendly and anxious to please. Frequent guests are greeted by name, and the knowledgeable hotel staff are always smiling and ready to offer advice for getting around the city. Although San Francisco’s hills provide ample exercise for most guests, the hotels offer other fitness options.

All in all, the Orchard Hotels are a pleasant surprise in an otherwise overcrowded region in the city. They are simple, comfortable, but elegant and smart. The hotels both have the environmental certification LEED-EB.
