Vesuvio Cafe/Bar
Vesuvio is the coolest & most romantic North Beach cafe/bar. An old time atmosphere favored by the Beat Generation in the 1960's and right next door to SF's best bookstore (City Lights). They serve drinks when they feel like it and a lot more alcohol than coffee drinks. There is no food served however, just drinks. Slide shows of old time postcards are shown regularly. This place is historical, cool, and fun. Andy's rating is an "A" for a true historical feel and romance with great drinks too.
